Abstract

The purpose of the article is to identify the mechanisms of the transformative impact of musical charity projects on the processes of social consolidation and decolonization of Ukrainian society in wartime.

Research methodology. To identify the mechanisms through which musical charity projects exert a transformative influence on the processes of social consolidation and decolonisation within Ukrainian society in the context of war, the study employed methods of observation, analysis, synthesis, description and generalisation. The methods of analysis, synthesis and generalisation were used to review existing research on the role of music and music projects in social change, decolonisation processes and fundraising. To identify the organisational and communicative mechanisms through which musical charity projects influence social solidarity, cultural identity and the decolonisation of public space, the methods of observation, as well as analytical and descriptive methods, were employed.

Results. The article focuses on analysing and summarising aspects of musical culture that influence social change and the prospects for involving musical projects in the processes of decolonisation and overcoming social problems. Emphasis is placed on the fact that musical charity projects have the resources and means to influence various segments of the audience in order to achieve social change. It is noted that the Faine Misto music charity project is a case study of transformational influence on social and decolonisation processes in Ukraine. The charitable, consolidating and axiological aspects of influence are revealed, reflecting a constructive approach to the decolonisation of cultural space and the multi-level process of overcoming social problems.

Novelty. The scientific novelty of the study lies in considering music as a tool in musical charity projects, which are complex communication special projects. For the first time, the proactive role of representatives of musical culture has been integrated into the context of the decolonisation process in Ukraine, and constructive and repressive approaches to the decolonisation of cultural space have been identified. A case study of a successful musical charity project is described, integrating the theoretical findings of Ukrainian and foreign researchers.

Practical significance. The practical significance of the research results lies in the possibility of using the obtained data in the formation of practical and laboratory classes within the modules of educational programmes in social communications, the application of existing developments to create similar charitable projects, and the expansion of opportunities for constructive decolonisation through the creation of comprehensive communication and cultural projects.

Key words: music, charity, prosocial ambassador, non-profit organisation, musical charity project, decolonisation.
