The faculty of economics was established in 2001
The dean: Saliga Sergey Jakovlewich, a doctor of economic sciences, a professor, an academician of AES of Ukraine.
The modern life demands of specialists-economists deep economic knowledges, new economic mentality, high economic culture. The importance of such characteristic features of personality like: efficiency, honesty, initiative, high work discipline, ability to independent analysis of life situations, making decisions and their realization in extreme conditions is magnifying. The teachers of the faculty of Economics try to develop just exactly these personal features.
Experienced practice specialists and prominent theorists who successfully cooperate with students work at the faculty. Moreover the specialists of the leading economic high-schools of Ukraine are involved in teaching students too. The students and teachers work in a friendly atmosphere of community, mutual respect and understanding. Students’ systematical approach in perception information is formed during education process. Knowledges, which have been got at lections are made deeper at the practical and systematical studies. At II-IV years of education students have their practice at the leading enterprises and organizations of Zaporizhja, and the staff agency at the university. Students’ soviet help them to provide a job. That’s why almost all students are employed as they graduate from the university.
For providing educational process the faculty uses update material equipment of the university:
-library with modern scientific and educational literature
-computer and multimedia classes, which give an opportunity to make acquaintance with updates in the field of economy and technics;
-linguaphone class, in which students study foreign languages on the new quality level.
The students of the faculty take active part in interuniversity scientific conferences, suggesting prospective ways and new propositions to the reforming of the economy of Ukraine.
Students hold the scientific-research work in the framework of the state scientific and technological programs, as well as at the science clubs of the Faculty of Economy -“World Economy”, “Finances and Banking”.
At the request of students from the II year they can study at the military faculty, which gives an opportunity to gain the rank of the junior lieutenant in the reserve as they graduate from the university.
